Dr. David K. Faux was born in Ontario, and raised in Quebec, Canada. He studied Psychology at Concordia University in Montreal and the University of Guelph in Guelph. Further graduate studies were in Physiology and Experimental Surgery at the University of Alberta in Edmonton; Psychology at McGill University in Montreal; and Medical Sciences at McMaster University in Hamilton. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from McMaster University in 1985. Dr. Faux became a Certified Psychologist in Ontario in 1986. Over the years he taught Psychology at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario; and Psychology as well as Psychopharmacology at East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park, California. Furthermore he was a Clinical Neuropsychologist at Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta (general psychiatric and "criminally insane" populations); a Learning Disabilities specialist in various locations; as well as a Forensic Psychologist in private practice working in the area of child protection and custody and access. Dr. Faux was also a Medical Scientist, and was co - owner of an international DNA testing company called EthnoAncestry. He retired in 2007 and he and his wife now reside in Caledonia, Haldimand County, Ontario (where in 1783 his ancestors became the first permanent residents, after the American Revolution) - residing close to his large family in Southern and Eastern Ontario. They also have a home in Cypress, California. Research has recently focused on three areas - Genealogical, DNA and Haudenosaunee.
